Notice: Knowledge Distribution Event- 15 September 2017
PSAM and UPM will be hosting a Social Accountability Knowledge Distribution Event, at Noluthando Hall, Ward 2, Joza, Grahamstown on the 15th of September 2017 from 10am until 4pm.
The event aims to provide a platform to disseminate research findings and other social accountability related information to the Grahamstown community. A study was conducted in 2016 that explored how the community receives information related to government processes, service delivery, etc. The participants indicated that they preferred meetings and word of mouth to receive information, and emphasized the need for such information to be made available to the public on a regular basis. The Event is in response to that request and will therefore; focus on the dissemination of research findings, and the sharing of other relevant social accountability related information.
The Event will have two aspects. The first aspect comprise of presenters who will be disseminating the research findings. The second aspect will take the form of a market gallery showcase, where you will be provided with a table inside the hall to set up and showcase your outputs and share your work with the community. This call is open to all CBO’s and CSO’s in Grahamstown who work within the social accountability or service delivery field.
